Expired Product on Longs Drugs Shelves.

Ok so I go into Longs on the 29th and purchase a box of the preztel and cheese cracker things and I get to work and open it and after eating 1 pack I look at the box and it says 17NOV 07 ok that should not even be on the shelf. So I called the customer service line and they told me that it would be taken care of..

So today I went into the same Longs to make sure it was taken care of..... the old product was pushed behind new boxes, so I counted the old product and there was 4 boxes and they are now on sale 2 for 3.00 so I purchased another 2 boxes of the expired product...

I called the customer service line again and this time I told them this was not even funny..
I told them I was taking pictures and posting it on my blog and I would be in to get my refund for all three boxes.

What has the past year brought to you and what have you learned from the past year.

This is some of what I have learned,

1) Even when you think your EX is finally done talking bad about you to your children they really are not and it really upsets the children...
2) The EX's New wife thinks she knows how to raise your children even though she has never been around them for more then 10 mins..( I raised my children alone since they were 18 months)
3) My children have mouths and I do not have to worry about them they let her know exactly what they think. without being disrespectful.
4) True Friends are always there regardless of the situation
5) Work is still work and you can be let go anytime and they (corporate)does not care, so please remember never to think that your employer really ever "needs you" they USE you however they never really need you.
6) I have been blessed with the 3 most wonderful children in the world!
7) I am still learning with each passing day
8)I am happy that I can say " I DID IT ON MY OWN"
9) I am happy to also say " I have helped and donated to charities"
10) I am happy to say that I have not intentionally hurt anyone this year

Lt.Col gets to see Daughter in Nutcracker....

Ok so he wanted to see his daughter in her play as a baby mouse in the Nutcracker however he is deployed in Iraq...... Ummmm.. there are a lot of enlisted men and women who would like to see their children's FIRST's also..

I do not see the pentagon making any special viewings for these other enlisted men and women.

We are in a WAR people so yes you will miss the first and last of many things while in a WAR....Officers should not have special treatment they do get paid more and treated better whether at peace or in a war.

People are dying and this Lt. Col is worried about the Nutcracker which could have been video taped and watched later??? Maybe he needs to go home and retire so he can watch everything his child does, I mean gee he is in charge of how many enlisted men and women and so is he really doing his job being so worried about this play???

So while he was watching this special viewing that the Petagon set up how many of his enlisted men and women under his watch were killed or wounded???? We wil never know the true facts on that will we??

Many people have lost loved ones and those loved ones missed alot of First's and will miss alot more now that they are gone. I really think the pentagon needs to think before it does something like this and have it broadcasted all over the Country. It does not help the men and women on the front line.

California Meals and Breaks Regulations and Laws

California Labor Laws - Mandatory Lunch and Meal Breaks

California law provides that employees must receive a 30 minute meal break if they work in excess of five hours. During this time, the employee must be relieved of all duties because it cannot be a working lunch. If an employer fails to give a proper meal break, the employee can recover one hour of pay at their regular rate of pay for each day they are not provided a proper meal break.

There are exceptions to the rules regarding meal breaks. A bona fide "exempt" employee is not subject to this rule. If the work day is less than six hours, the employee can agree to waive the time period. In the health care industry, an employee can agree, in writing, to waive this meal period. Further, employees working under a collective bargaining agreement may not be subject to the rules regarding meal periods.

In some cases, an "on duty" meal break can be provided only when the nature of the job prevents the employee from being relieved of duty and if there is a written agreement between the employer and employee. The written agreement shall state that the employee may revoke the agreement at any time.

These rules only apply to employees in California. Federal law does not have a meal time requirement.

California Labor Laws - Mandatory Rest Breaks

California labor law requires that employees get rest breaks if they work over three and a half hours a day. These mandatory breaks must be in the middle of each work period and must be 10 minutes for every four hours worked or fraction thereof. Rest breaks are work time and the employee must be paid for them.

If an employer fails to provide an employee a rest period, the employee can recover one hour of pay for each work day that the rest period is not provided.

An exception to the rule is made for bona fide "exempt" employees. They are not subject to this rule.

Missing Child in Citrus HEights Ca (11/13/07)

Ok yesterday around 4PM our area was surrounded with police, helicopters and you name it. A child was abducted.......

a 11 year old girl was pulled into a car with two hispanic men, however no one knows who this girl is or where she lives.

NO one has reproted her missing and as of right now no missing persons report has been filed.

So who was this 11 year old girl? why has she not been reported missing from her parent's yet?

there are many reasons why they may have not reported her missing..

The apartment complex that this happened in front of is filled with many hispanic families and whether or not they are legal to be here really does not matter right now.

The person who brought this girl and her family across the border may be sending them a message if they have not paid all of the money they owe.

She may be traded in the white slave market and if that happens she will never be heard of again... People like to turn their heads about the white slave trade however it is very much alive and still going on today.

The details of this abduction are a bit to detailed for people not to know who this child is that was forced into that car..

Details right down to a necklace she was wearing..however no one knows the child and have never seen her around before???

I only hope that if anyone really knows who this child is will step up and be brave enough to help her.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me at all. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.


I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.



Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.



In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.



Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.



Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.



Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'




Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

I should of joined when she first told me about it. http://www.rotatrixfriends.net/index.php/public/signup/friend_cashonly Wednesday, October 17, 2007 Ellen and the puppy Ok so Ellen had adopted a puppy and it did not get along with her other animals or something. so she gave it to her Hairdresser... the Shelter where Ellen adopted the puppy at came and took the puppy away from the Hairdresser for Ellen breaking one of the rules in the adoption contract when she adopted the puppy. So the owner of the pet adoption shelter syasshe has gotten over 200 death threats since this has happened and is scared, she has also hired a lawyer. The bottom line is when you sign a contract you have to follow the rules no matter who you are and no matter how much money you make. I am sure that Ellen was just following her heart, she is a very giving person and she knew the puppy would be loved in this home with two girls under the age of 14(which is in the contract that no animals will be allowed in homes with children under 14 years of age) However children deserve to have animals also and the age limit to me is a bit silly, after all all you hear over the news is that there are to many animals in shelters and being killed since no one is adopting them. there are two sides to each story and since I am not either side I can only express my thoughts on the matter. There are other things going on in this world that should be on the news and this is not one of them. Thermometer use to ensure proper cooking temperature is especiallyimportant for those who cook or serve ground beef patties to people most at risk for foodborne illness because E. coli O157:H7 can lead to serious illness or even death. Those most at risk include young children, seniors, and those with compromised immune systems.The recall is being expanded based on an additional positive product sample reported by the New York Health Department, reported illnesses and findings from a food safety assessment conducted by FSIS at the establishment. There are currently 25 illnesses under investigation in Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. An investigation carried out by the New York Department of Health in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, preceded the recall of Sept. 25. Frozen products still in commerce with an unexpired sell-by date are subject to this recall expansion. The company applies a one-year sell-by date to their frozen products. For best quality, FSIS recommends consumers use any frozen ground beef products within three to four months of the stated sell-by date. Tania Head’s story, as shared over the years with reporters, students, friends and hundreds of visitors to ground zero, was a remarkable account of both life and death. She had, she said, survived the terror attack on the World Trade Center despite having been badly burned when the plane crashed into the upper floors of the south tower. Crawling through the chaos and carnage on the 78th floor that morning, she said, she encountered a dying man who handed her his inscribed wedding ring, which she later returned to his widow. Her own life was saved, she said, by a selfless volunteer who stanched the flames on her burning clothes before she was helped down the stairs. It was a journey she said she had the strength to make because she kept thinking of a beautiful white dress she was to wear at her coming marriage ceremony to a man named Dave. But later she would discover, she said, that Dave, her fiancé, and in some versions her husband, had perished in the north tower. As a matter of history, Ms. Head’s account made her one of only 19 survivors who had been at or above the point of impact when the planes hit. As a matter of emotion, her story deeply moved audiences like college students to whom she spoke and visitors at ground zero, where she has long led tours for the Tribute W.T.C. Visitor Center for visitors including Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and former Gov. George E. Pataki. “What I witnessed there I will never forget,” she told a gathering at Baruch College at a memorial event in 2006. “It was a lot of death and destruction, but I also saw hope.” Much of Ms. Head’s account was posted on the Web site of the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network, a nonprofit organization for which she served as president and as point person for corporate donations. But no part of her story, it turns out, has been verified. The family and friends of the man to whom she claimed to be engaged say they have never heard of Tania Head and view the relationship she describes with the man, who truly died in the north tower, as an impossibility. A spokeswoman for Merrill Lynch & Company, where she told people she worked at the time of the terror attack, said the company had no record of employing a Tania Head. And few people, it seems, who embraced the gripping immediacy and pain of her account ever asked the name of the man whose ring she had returned, or that of the hospital where she was treated, or the identities of the people she met with in the south tower on the morning of 9/11. “She never shared those details, and it was nothing we wanted to probe,” said Alison Crowther, the mother of Welles Remy Crowther, a man who died on 9/11 and who is credited with rescuing a number of people from the south tower, including, by Ms. Head’s account, Ms. Head. “I felt it was too private and painful for her.” In recent weeks, The New York Times sought to interview Ms. Head about her experiences on 9/11 because she had, in other settings, presented a poignant account of survival and loss. But she canceled three scheduled interviews, citing her privacy and emotional turmoil, and declined to provide details to corroborate her story. During a telephone conversation on Tuesday, she would not explain her reticence, saying only that she had not filed any claims with the federal Victim Compensation Fund. “I have done nothing illegal,” Ms. Head said. She has retained a lawyer, Stephanie Furgang Adwar, to represent her. Also on Tuesday, in response to a question about the accuracy of Ms. Head’s account, Ms. Adwar said in an e-mail message, “With regard to the veracity of my client’s story, neither my client, nor I, have any comment.” No one has suggested that Ms. Head did anything to profit financially from her position as an officer with the Survivors’ Network, the nonprofit group for which she helped to raise money. But the organizations with which she has been affiliated have also questioned her account after learning of the inquiries from The Times. For several weeks, colleagues who said they respected the good work she had done as a fixture in the survivor community have pressed her to come forward with clarifying details. School A day after civil rights figures led a massive protest in Jena, La., where racial tensions flared after nooses were hung from a tree outside Jena High School, more nooses were found on a tree outside another southeastern high school. A total of four nooses were found Friday around the campus of Andrews High School in High Point, N.C., police said. Two nooses were hung on a tree in front of the school, one was in a bus loop near the upperclassmen's parking lot, and one red noose was tied to the top of the school flagpole, High Point Police Capt. Margaret Erga said, citing a police report. Erga said school administrators discovered the nooses around 8:30 a.m. and immediately notified authorities, who officially filed the report at 10:41 Friday morning. Extra police officers were brought to the campus and security was in force at Andrews High School for the remainder of the day. Police told ABCNews.com that the extra security will continue at least through the weekend, with several officers patroling at any given time. No charges have been filed, police said, but the investigation is ongoing. School officials commented on the incident in a message on the Guilford County Schools' Web site. "These discriminatory acts will not be tolerated in or against our schools," the school board statement said. "Those found to be responsible for this criminal act will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." Sonya Conway, executive director of district relations for Guilford County Schools, told The News-Record, a local newspaper, that school would open Monday as usual. "If you look at my [CT] scan, there are approximately 10 tumors in my liver. The doctors told me I had three to six months of good health left. That was a month ago so you can do the math." But for family and friends of Sean Aquitania, 21, and 7-month-old Sean Jr., the sadness is mixed with anger and frustration. Sacramento sheriff's detectives say they have very few leads to find the two suspects from last Friday's killings. "As much support as we've seen from the community, it's been very touching for us," said Aimee Aquitania, the victim's cousin, "but it's also been somewhat frustrating that we can see so much love from the community and yet there are still people out there who know more." Detectives say Aquitania seems to have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time, visiting friends in south Sacramento. When he drove up, two men pulled him into the house where three others live. Aquitania was shot twice, and as the gunmen left, they shot his young son execution-style as he still sat in his car seat. The services at St. Rose Church on Franklin Boulevard south of Fruitridge were held in the nearby Kavanagh Community Center, the only place large enough to hold the mourners. Outside the doors stood a California Department of Corrections honor guard. Sean Aquitania's father is a state correctional officer, and the victim had aspirations to become a correctional officer himself. "We're angry, we're frustrated. A big question is why? How could this happen," said Aimee Aquitania. After the services, pallbearers escorted the large silver casket. The slain father and son are being buried together. Several limousines led the long procession to the burial service. "I think the only comfort will come when justice is served," said the cousin. I heard a story about a guy named, Wallace who is president of his home owner's association in a Jackson , Mississippi suburb. They were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes. The reason according to Wallace is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community. The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-Eleven, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc. He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail. He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either. So here's what his community did: They organized about twenty folks, named themselves, The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves. It is what they did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious. They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered in gold on the caps. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might, mistakenly, think the letters really stood for. After the "Inner Neighborhood Services" group's first lunchtime pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras; 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning - and haven't come back yet. It has been ten days now and the General Contractor, I read, was madder than hell, but couldn't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens. Wallace and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner association minutes in addition to a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee, and they also informed the INS in advance of their plans. Thursday, September 13, 2007 Tuesday, September 11, 2007 9/11/07 Well, it is that day again and that date 09/11/07, I can still remember the cries of my mother as she called out for my brother as the first plane went into the first tower. My mother was never the same and she died soon after, in my mind watching her son burn to death in tower II was the beginning of the end for her. She was never the same after that and at night she often would cry in her sleep and call his name. You hear all kinds of stories from certain family members of 09/11/01 however there are many you do not hear from, we do not want to be on TV. My brother now has a son who was born 12/15/01 and he will never know his son, we keep my brothers memory alive by having pictures and homemade videos playing for my nephew. My brother is still at the towers his body along with many others were never recovered. My sister in law is still very angry and misses her husband, she is angry for the way they treated her when she wanted information on when they would be getting my brothers remains to her so he can have a proper burial, they said he would not be having a proper burial..... She is hurting for she loved him so much and this child she was carrying in her womb whe nhe was killed was cheated out of knowing a loving man, she is angry at the other victims families for glamorizing the events of that day in movies and she has every right to be angry, she told them she did not want any movies made when they came to her and they told her that her wishes would be granted since they needed all of the victims families to be mutal on this. WELL the movie was made and my sister cried even more everyone has their own story and stories about their loved ones on that day my heart goes out to all of the lost family members and I hope they are moving on and learning how to live without fear.
