In many things we are faced in our lifes that knowing when it is right is and can be very confusing for many. Is it the right outfit
or right colored lipstick
or should we have string beans and corn with the steak?

So when it comes to relationships how it is any different? When it is new you think it may be the right situation for you and you want it to be, BUT comes into play the what's and if's and how's can this be? How can you feel so close and so safe with this person so soon, how can you want them in your life and never have them out of your life. What if this person is not even wanting a relationship?

When do you finally know it is RIGHT for you to tell them YES you would like that chance to see where it could go and that you want to take it one day at a time and grow with it, however you want them to know that you care for them without pushing them away.

I have been in a few relationships and they have all been long lasting and have ended for several reasons, however there can be no blame given to either party when it came to the end of my own relationships. I would rather walk away still loving the person, then walk away hating him.

I am not like most people. I give every inch of my soul once I see that is the person I want to be with, and it is hard at times since you never want to pressure a person into caring for you,it will never work that way. I think it can be very hard if that person you care for does not have the same feelings toward you. So it is never easy when you are getting mixed signals from the person. I do think that friendship is vital and open commincation in any form/type of a relationship is a major factor of success.

So the BIGGEST QUESTIONS IS>>>>>>>>>>

When do you tell a person you want them in your life......... and I mean when you say want them that is in every way possible not half way in any means.????????

Do we have to pay an exempt employee who was not at work?
I have an exempt employee who was out for 4 days due to dental issues. He worked from home 2 of those 4 days on a company issued computer by responding to emails. Can I make him take 4 days of vacation time or do I have to pay for the 2 days he was working from home?
Ann Kiernan replies:
Federal wage and hour law says that, except in certain specified circumstances, an exempt employee must receive the full salary for any week in which the employee performs any work, regardless of the number of days or hours worked. However, the regulations contain seven exceptions to this salary basis, "no pay-docking" rule, one of which allows you to make deductions from salary of exempt employees who are absent from work for one or more full days due to sickness or disability, if deductions are made under a bona fide plan, policy or practice of providing wage replacement benefits for these types of absences.
As I read the regulations, you cannot make him use vacation days, but only sick days. And since he was working some of the time on two of those days, he should get regular salary for those days. You may want to check out the Department of Labor's fact sheet on salary deductions.

What would you do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My question is: Would you have made the same choice?

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its

dedicated staff, he offered a question:

'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection.

Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do.

Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.

In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do the others let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the

plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!

Run to first!'

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball. The smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!

Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day !

Customizing Your Bicycle Rims

Barring a serious crash or the most frequent bike accident of all—entering the garage with a bicycle on your car roof rack—your bicycle rims will probably last as long as you can stand riding the same old bike. Usually made of aluminum, rims are lightweight and strong and are hardly ever the source of trouble on a bicycle, even in the most arduous riding conditions.

In fact, most bicycle riders probably never give a single thought to their bicycle rims. The circular band of metal that holds in the bike tire and connects it to the wheel hub via spokes is easily overlooked. Unlike spokes, a bicycle rim hardly ever breaks. Unlike the hub, it hardly ever causes problems. Unlike tires, it never goes flat or explodes. Serious bicycle racers have some pretty fancy rims, full of the same outrageously colorful advertising that covers their clothing usually, but most riders really don't need these. Even the fanciest rims, the flattened out, wide, presumably aerodynamic rims you'll see on the wheels of the pros, are not certainly all that much better. They are, however, flashier, and in the world of bicycling, this apparently does count for something, maybe for intimidation.

Do you need to know anything special about your bicycle rims? Not really. Most bicycles come with rims appropriate to their overall quality. You can spend as much money as you want on a rim—like everything else associated with the sport of bicycling—but what comes standard on a bike is probably sufficient. Customizing your rims will bring you fancier rims, maybe lighter rims, probably stronger rims, but the research on what constitutes the best rim weight, strength and shape is still largely inconclusive, and since this feature causes so few problems to the recreational rider, you can leave this issue to the professional mechanic who services the bicycles of world class racers. When they've resolved the issue, you will know about it!

Meanwhile, if your bicycle rims are aluminum, as most are today (steel rims being heavy, carbon rims being expensive), there is very little you need to do for them. As with all parts of your bicycle, rims should be kept clean of dirt and corrosive oils, wiped after long dusty rides and examined after any crash. Otherwise, do what most riders have always done: forget about your bicycle rims. You may not be able to ride a bike without them, but you really cannot ride a bike better for thinking about this vital but happily innocuous part.

A terminated employee is requesting us to create and provide her with duplicates of all of her paystubs throughout the course of her employment. Also, she is requesting a copy of the authorization form she signed when she enrolled in the health plan. What are we required to provide?

Every state has its own rules on the subject, but your state, California, is particularly strict. According to the California Department of Industrial Relations:

Your payroll records must be made available to you upon reasonable request, which request must be complied with by your employer as soon as practicable, but no later than 21 calendar days from the date you make such request. Effective January 1, 2003, a failure by the employer to permit a current or former employee to inspect or copy his or her payroll records within the 21 day period entitles the current or former employee to recover a $750.00 penalty from the employer in a civil action brought before a court of competent jurisdiction.

So, you had better get those payroll records ready! And since you have to provide the payroll records, you might as well make a copy of the health plan enrollment form, too.

At first sight it may seem that life in society is peaceful and quiet. People are surrounded by comfort and cosiness and don’t seem to be longing for anything else. The real life seems less colourful than from the first sight. The more independent we get from each other, the lonelier we become. Loneliness creates stress and aggravation within the micro climate of an individual and he/she always seeks ways to get rid of negative feelings and problems that circle a person. If a grown up is under pressure, can you imagine how hard it is for a teenager to get acquainted with the world around and face first difficulties. Both grown ups and teenagers look for a cure from stress and the first thing they gat a hold on is alcohol, cigarettes or even drugs.

Every person has a freedom of choice, but the question is will this choice be easy or right? Strong personality will never pick the easy way if it will appear to misleading. A weak personality will do everything to postpone the solution of the problem. Alcohol or the “spirits” is something that may make the world look different and friendlier for an hour or so. If that is the example of a weakness of a grown up, you can imagine, how much more impressible a teenager is. There are a couple reasons for a teenager to take a glass or two and repeat the procedure even more often than a grown up. First of all, they might be following an example of parents that have this problem within the family and consider it ok when their child drinks spirits right in front of them. Parents might not even know or care what happens even more often, than be alcohol addicted themselves. The situation in the family may be built on complete ignorance of every member as soon as it doesn’t harm anybody but the individual rebelling. The “rebelling individual” is usually a teenager that requires attention of parents that for some reason can not give it t the fullest. Another reason may be to show off, to be different, not like others that look so boring and so not fun. And another one that is called the “adult reason” is the desire to escape from the harshness of reality by means of drinking.

This is a serious problem that the government and social organizations can not fight alone. If the society realizes the importance of the cure from alcoholic addiction, then the lifestyle of the society will change for better.

Ok folks I do not like to lay BLAME... However i have not had any problem surfing any traffic sites until I joined TRAFFICRACEr auto surf.

I have had to reload my OS on my pc and now I have to reload it on my LAPTOP.. I clicked on surf on my laptop for trafficracer and 10 mins later my system has a virus.

Please make sure you take care if you are a member of this site.

I will be emailing RIch of varisearch since traffic racer is a part of his membership for surf sites.

I should be reimbursed for all of the time and trouble I have spent getting rid of the deadly virus that this surfing site allowed on their website.

I thought it was funny the first time I surfed there that my system started to act funny and then with in an hour of surfing i had a virus.

I WAS SHOCKED TO LEARN THAT MOST ASSISTED LIVING CARE CENTERS ARE PRIVATE PAY ONLY.

The lowest price I have found for assisted living with no nurse is 2350.00 per month, if I had to pay that amount of rent I would hope it was a very nice big house to live in and that I owned it

My question is how is it legal for these places to charge this much? How is it legal for them to drain the ederly people out of their life savings and then kick them out the second they have no money left?

I would like to see some MEDIA attention to this matter and to start in the Sacramento Area, also what happens to the people that have medi-cal,medicare and have no savings?

We need to start speaking out about these companies that are draining the elderly out of their savings. I do not think anyone should have to pay 2350.00 or more to live with a piece of mind.

13 Resume Mistakes That Can Cost You The Interview

1. A BLAND OR GENERIC OBJECTIVE: If your objective could be applied to a marketing resume as easily as a resume for an accounting position, then your objective says nothing and will get you nowhere. An objective is NOT some required paragraph at the top of the page that is an exercise in 5 lines of job speak. It's an actual and real description of your skills as they're related to who you are and what you want. It should vary with the type of job for which you are applying.

2. BLAND JOB DETAILS: "Responsibilities included overseeing construction of 4 Hilton Hotels in Tri-City Metro Area, each 50 floors in height." Yeah? So what? That doesn't say if they went up on schedule or if you brought the projects in under budget. It doesn't say if you took all four from site work up or if the guy handling two of the four hotels was fired and you were promoted to overseeing all four. Differentiate yourself from the others coming in to interview. If you don't tell the hiring company how you will be an asset to them, how will they know?

3. WHO'S THE MYSTERY COMPANY?: Don't assume the name and purpose of your company is common knowledge. If it's a competitor, it might be, and if it's in the same industry and located nearby, it might be. To be on the safe side, provide a sentence or two about the focus of your company's products or services.

4. ANOTHER JOB, ANOTHER PARAGRAPH: Don't keep adding on to your resume job after job, year after year. By the time you're in your 40s, you need to have weeded out some of the earlier stuff. You don't need all the college activities, just your degree. You don't need ALL 5 bullets for each of your first two jobs.

5. REFERENCES: Shouldn't be listed on your resume. "References available on request" is the proper phrase. You present them separately when they're requested. This isn't about protocol. This is about protecting your references so they aren't called until you and the company are serious about each other.

6. IT'S NOT A STORY!: Don't - whatever you do, DON'T - write your resume in the third person!

7. SKIP THE PERSONAL INFO: You might think your weekend baseball coaching or your church choir participation shows you're an interesting and well-rounded person, but they're irrelevant. If the interviewer wants to know who you are as a person, aside from the job interview and your qualifications, he'll ask.

8. DEGREE DATE: No matter how old you are, don't leave the date of when you were graduated off your resume. It looks like you're hiding something (well, you are, aren't you?), and then everyone counts the years backwards and tries to figure out how old you are. Sometimes you can be ruled out - just for leaving the date off. If you're trying to hide your age by not stating the date, what else might you not be forthcoming about?

9. SPELL CHECK, SPELL CHECK, SPELL CHECK: Spell checking visually by you AND someone else, any fewer than three times, isn't enough. And don't forget to check your punctuation.

10. GETTING YOUR RESUME OUT THERE - part one: Don't use one of those resume blaster things. Half those sites aren't even valid. You don't know how it will come out on the other end. You don't even know where it's going or if the landing targets are employment related. It's bad form and just....NOT the way to find your perfect job. Finding your perfect job takes focus, attention, detail, individuality, tailoring, specifics. Resume blasting is about as far from that as you can get.

11. GETTING YOUR RESUME OUT THERE - part two: If it's an ad, you probably have instructions as to how to send it. If it says email, cut and paste it in the form, AND attach it. You never know what it can look like on the other end because of the variety of settings available to each user. Quite frankly, you're better off not emailing it at all, because it usually just goes into cyber space, and then it's all about the hiring company - but unfortunately, besides not sending it at all, sometimes that's your only choice. Emailing your resume takes any option for further participation right out of your hands, because often there's not even a name given for a follow up contact. You've no other option than to wait and wonder. (And half the time it's going to HR or an admin department to be scanned into an electronic database.)

12. GETTING YOUR RESUME OUT THERE - part three: If you know the company, call and ask if they prefer email, fax, or snail mail. I know a recruiter who never even opened his email. Because he was listed in The Kennedy Guide to Executive Recruiters, he received so many resumes emailed to him cold (so NOT pro-active) that he just did a mass delete every morning. Candidates contacted for a specific search were requested to snail mail their resume to him. How about that? I'll bet less than 10% of those who emailed their resumes even bothered to follow up to see if it was received (this isn't a numbers game).

13. RESUME VISUALS: Ivory paper. Black ink. Individual pages. No plastic, 7th grade, science report cover with the plastic slider or metal push down tabs. Your name centered at the top, not on a cover page that says "Introducing Clifton Lewis Montgomery III". No exceptions. Your resume is a professional document, not a school book report or an art project. Until every resume is done this way, yours will still stand out in the crowd.

You are the product, and your resume is the marketing piece. To find your perfect job you must differentiate yourself from the other people who will be interviewed.

Your resume must be specific, individualized, easy to skim so it invites a closer reading, and focused on the differences you've made with your previous companies, as well as the accomplishments you've achieved with - and for - them. This tells the hiring company what you can do for them - and it IS about the hiring company, not you.

Of course this assumes you meet the requirements for the job - otherwise it doesn't matter how good your resume is! The resume is what gets you in the door. If your resume is poorly written, looks sloppy, is difficult to read, is cryptic in any way, or necessitates being slogged through to learn your information (they won't bother), you won't even get in the door. And how can you decide whether you like the company, if they've already decided they don't like you?

11 Tips to Making the Best Pork Ribs

Barbequing can be a risky business. You invite your friends and family over for some home-cooked goodness -- but how do you know your barbecue is going to turn out good? What if it’s not as good as the last time you made it?

Even for seasoned Barbecue vets, getting your meat consistently good is something that can be more than a little tricky. Well I'm here to tell you that it's totally doable, and here are eleven tips that will help:

1. Purchase ribs that are evenly covered in meat. In other words, don't buy a slab that is fatty on one end and fleshy on the other. Avoid slabs that have exposed bones!

2. Allow for one pound of ribs per guest. This is a generous helping but for more impressive appetites, make it two!

3. When preparing the meat, make sure you remove the membrane on the underside of the ribs with a sharp knife. If you don't it blocks the flavor intake.

4. Always marinate your ribs in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.

5. Don't even think about boiling those ribs! Above all else, boiling the meat causes it to lose all its flavor. If you just have to pre-cook your ribs before slapping them on the cooking grate, try steaming your slabs instead as this will help lock the flavor in.

6. Before placing your ribs on the grate for Barbecuing or smoking, make sure you coat the metal with a generous helping of oil.

7. Barbecuing demands constant attention! As soon as it goes on your grate, stay close by and keep an eye on it. Watch the cooking temperature and avoid going above 250 degrees Fahrenheit -- the best ribs are cooked slowly over indirect heat for about five hours.

8. Put down that fork! Always use tongs to handle your meat once it's on the grate. Why pierce the meat and let the flavor ooze out if you don't have to?

9. If you're going to baste during cooking stay away from anything with sugar in it. Your best bet is to use vinegar and/or water-based products only.

10. Only lay on the BBQ sauce in the last 20-30 minutes of cooking. Any sooner than that and the heat will cause the sauce to caramelize and burn your meat.

11. Let the ribs cool for 10-15 minutes before you serve them up. This is just a courtesy -- you don't want to singe your guests' mouths with smoking hot sauce! You could lose some friends.

I was walking and was going by the school and I was trying to figure out what was all over the school lawn so I started to look closer and it is DOG POOP, laid out all over the LAWN????? WHY I ASK WHY?? so all of those children that go to that school get dog poop on there clothing and shoes each time they go outside?

The buxton Bag that is the over the shoulder organizer.

That you are supposed to be able to fit so much into and it is supposed to be sturdy and good looking.

Here is my review, please remember this is my experience with this product.

1) it is a right hander's should bag
2) the bag does not close well if you have it full
3) the outer lining started to peel the moment I took it out of the box.
4) I had my camera, phone (which does not fit in that little phone holder) and a pamphlet and my car keys and the bag was not closing.

so I give this product a 1 in a half stars only.

We need things made for left hander's also, and yes there is a difference between a right hand and left hand over the shoulder organizer.

We have all seen this infomercial about how this pad can remove your hair. Well I was skeptical and everything so I purchased it at a store for 9.99 and I went home and tried it.

GUESS WHAT???

IT WORKS... yes you heard me it works.

go in a circle 3 times one way and then 3 times the other way and the hair is removed.

Now if you have real sensitive skin this may not work for you, so it is the responsibility of each person to try it and read the instructions.

However it worked for me and I have very sensitive skin.

So that is my review.

California State Fair..pros and cons

Ok folks,

The News stated that the people at the state fair says attendance was down a lot and would try to move the fair up to June or July next year..

Well Let me give you a list on why the attendance is LOW THIS YEAR::::

1) 10.00 for parking in Eygpt.....

2) 12.00 fair entry for an adult

3) 8.00 for a child

4) tickets cost 4 for 1.00 or you can get 25 tickets for 25.00 OR you can get a all day wrist band for 30.00 and on weekends it costs 35.00.

5) People with a handicap will not find the fair to friendly, nor the people who are working the fair.

6) you have fair employees ripping children off... here is the proof:: my son had 20.00 and he bought two sodas at 3.00 a piece and a corn dog that was 3.50 umm that is 9.50 and the guy gave him back 9.00 and my son said you owe me more money and the guy had the nerve to put his finger up and shake it and say no no no.. well my son got his money back and within 10 mins I saw the same man behind a tent with a handful of money...now this is the tent not far from the snack bar he is working at strange dont you think?? Oh I went up to ask to see the person who is running that stand since I wanted my money back, I was going to go get a police officer however I went there to the fair so my son could have some fun, not have fair employees rip him off. Once again he did get his 1.50 returned to him..

The Bella Twins were very nice, wish I could say the same for the employees(Direct TV) who could not have cared less that I could not walk the stairs to get to the form to spin his wheel for a prize...He was like oh well then I guess you won't be spinning then... I was like you know you do not have to be such an ASSHOLE and I will be calling to let them know how you have treated me..

Ok now for the GOOD THINGS ABOUT GOING TO THE FAIR::::

1) THE FOOD!!!!!!

2) FAMILY TIME

3) Friends

However I still cannot see how the fair stats are saying the attendance is down since I saw families of 5 and 6 and they all had all day wrist bands on and had stuffed toys from the game tables and were eating plenty.. so I do not thing the stats are correct...

I do plan on sending a picture of this young man to the police along with a copy of this posting and also to the state fair directors office..

I know they have safe guards up for child Predators, however what about their employees who are stealing people blind???

ALL IN ALL

my son was happy he was able to see the BELLA TWINS and finally ride the bumper cars all by himself... so it is ALL OK but people have to remember I am never without a camera and I do protect what is mine.....

This may come to a shock to a lot of you , like it did me...

I checked on a payee account that I am assigned to for a minor child and to my shock all of his money is gone???

So I call the bank and was informed "your name is on the account and we found you owe us money so we took it fro mthe account".

I was like you cant take anything unless we tell you it is ok and they said "as long as your name is on a account we can do what we want"

Just a note I do have all of this in a transcript so I do have proof this was all said from the bank employee.

So I told the bank it is not my money and I do not recall owing your bank anything and if I do then put it in writing and send me a letter however you cannot STEAL a minors money out of his account since the checks do come in this minors name and it clearly says I am just the representative for the child.

Folks, stealing is stealing regardless of who is doing the stealing so please all of you CHECK your BANK ACCOUNTS and question things that you know you did not do.

This is the same bank who allowed 3 people to walk in and cash checks that were stolen from me and not once did it show on their banks camera that they asked for ID from these 3 people.

The FBI had to get involved with that case and the nerve of this bank stealing from a child.

Ok I am a bit ticked off now, this is the second time in a row that Pizza Hut has messed up my order for cheese sticks.

I call an d am told we will credit your account for next time, excuse me??? Why should I have to wait till next time.. Plus they did not credit my account last time they messed up like they said they would and then tried to give me a hassle when I asked for my credit... this is for the birds..

Just a pondering question that comes to my mind.. why did it take so long for a person to say they are sorry after so many years?

48 years to be exact, It makes me wonder does this person have a fatal disease or has done another crime and is trying to get off from saying sorry?

I am happy he said he was sorry however it is just 48 years a bit to late regardless if everyone is accepting it, sure he is an old man now however he was in his prime when he was doing his civil rights protesting and beating people that did not look like him or had his same skin color and he had no worries then so why now?

So ya telling me if the KKK comes out and says we are sorry for the way we treated you all and killed your brothers and sisters we would just let it be???

it is still going on in the present and we are supposed to close our eyes to the crimes against men and women that are not the same as we are or are sightly different.

NO.. everyone should be treated with respect regardless of where you are from or how you look.

Let's wake up people and not tolerate ignorance and let's educate everyone.
